Centre for Religion, World View and Mental Health
The Centre for Religion, World View and Mental Health is located at Dimence Institute of Mental Health, Zwolle, The Netherlands.
The Centre aims to gather and share knowledge about the complex relationship between religion/ world view and mental health.
The Centre for Religion, World View and Mental Health has three functions:
- research: the Centre conducts and participates in research projects in order to gain more insight into the role which religion and world view play regarding mental health
- training: the Centre organizes or participates in courses and symposia to enable professionals to acquire more knowledge and skills to pay attention to religion and world view in their daily work
- network: the Centre facilitates a network of experts throughout the country who are involved in the themes mentioned.
Head of the Centre is professor Gerrit Glas, MD PhD, psychiatrist and philosopher.
Co-ordinator is Hanneke Schaap-Jonker PhD, psychologist and theologian.
